Our 2010 Model Search is off and running! And, we're getting many cool new images to work with. One of the new products we're offering are "L. Hoke Personality panels". First, the sessions are designed to have a lot of variety, showing all the cute things about your toddler! The panels are custom designed 10x20 pieces that are awesome for commemorating a first year birthday or capturing a particularly adorable time in your child's life! I just returned from Imaging USA in Nashville - the international convention of the Professional Photographers of America. It was a great time of inspiration and revitalization! I came back with great ideas for new looks and products that I'm excited about integrating into our studio. However, I need your help. I'm looking for a few models that will allow me to create these images for our studio!
Here's who we are looking for:
a baby girl from newborn to 3 months
a baby boy from newborn to 3 months
a baby boy or girl from 4 to 6 months
a baby boy or girl from 7 to 9 months
a little girl around 18 months - 2 years

I don't know about you, but it's really hard for me to get focused on the Christmas season until AFTER Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is almost here so I'll announce our L.Hoke 2009 Christmas photography dates! We will be photographing children and families in a holiday theme as modeled below by the lovely Mattalyn from December 1-5. These will be 15 -30 minute sessions promotionally priced for holiday portrait and Christmas card giving. And, as an added bonus (I feel like the Sham - Wow guy right now) the first twenty to book will receive a complimentary 5x7 gift portrait - up to a $50.00 value!
I believe this will be the fourth year we have had the opportunity to create a a/v presentation for Palmetto Health Foundation highlighting the amazing work that they do in our community. Untold numbers of lives are made better by the gifted people and the wonderful technology of Palmetto Health. Yvonne and I are thankful to be a part in a small way. Thanks to all the people who participated, I think it's another great show!
Yvonne & I made our final trip to the coast this past Saturday to photograph the wedding of Meghan Monahan & Michael O'Hara. I don't know what to say...but what a blast! You guys ROCK!
This past Saturday was one of those very few days where we didn't have a wedding to photograph...didn't quite know what to do with ourselves! As fate would have it our son Thomas was assigned to Honor Guard duty to present Colors before the Carolina - SC State game. I called my good friend & USC sports photographer extrordinaire Gregg Martin to see if he would photograph Thomas doing his thing. Gregg did me one better by allowing me to go sidelines with him! Wow, what a blast! I found out that being an experienced wedding and portrait photographer doesn't exactly translate into being a good sports photographer! I found myself a little late on the action all night! It was SO much fun though!
